About vaccination

since he born, my parents-in-law ( former witnesses) .
violated the prohibition of talking with us and there are more close to us than before.

Most venues just plain suck for a convention. Most arena type places are built for sporting events that are like 3 hours max. You get up and get a pretzel, get a beer, take a piss. Sit down, stand up and cheer. They're aren't made for sitting in 4 hour stretches listening to boring old fucks talk.

gopher, they just read a letter that says the opposite. There's going to be a few international conventions in the US but most of the JW's in the US will be going to regular non-international conventions.

piz: That site linked is fine. The Society doesn't have any hackers trying to get info from this site. For some who 'knows enough about PCs,' you sure don't know what you're talking about.
For those bitching about freedom speech and stuff, KM's, and other publications are copyrighted. It sucks, but thems the breaks. If this site were putting up epubs or pdf of your favorite erotic young adult vampire fiction, those copyright holders would be turning the screws as well. The society is well withing their rights to get the stuff taken down. It's part of the game we all play when downloading/hosting copyrighted works.

to which i said no, because i just had a feeling that must've been a new angle to tell folks about the new bible app.the sis said they would start offering it in two weeks the bro goes on to mention that you can download the app and you get the bible in five different languages and mentions some other stuff you can do onthe app, i said all this technology reminds when the society admonished you all to stay away from the interenet about 25 years ago .
you should've seen his face, he was smiling but was thinking "how does show know" behind that smile.

My local hall has one. I have no idea why. It's a small town with just a few thousand people. The downtown area is practically a ghost town. The only place where people go is Wal-Mart, and JW's aren't allowed to preach there. The cart just sits there in the library collecting dust.

Yeah I was thinking about that yesterday. Loose conduct is stuff of a sexual nature. Brazen conduct is like, almost anything. So they literally changed the meaning of a scripture to mean something completely different.

Beginning of Electronic Assemblies?
by Fading Begins indo you think this could have been an experiment to see how smoothly these events can be processed, and what the reaction is from the rank and file?
it would sure save a lot of money if events like this could replace at least the one day circuit assemblies.
there has to be some recognition that the "flock" is becoming weary and they don't have the funds to be travelling to these events.

kiddingme: you can already email people digital copies of literature and count it as a placement.
as for electronic assemblies, it's a definitely possiblity. i think they might use this hardware for more 'special meetings.' It seems like a waste to install all this stuff and only use it two days a year.

Newly released New World Translation still full of numerous errors and abuses
by yadda yadda 2 inthought i'd start a thread discussing all the scriptures where the watchtower translation committee has taken liberties and abused verses they've translated in the nwt.. worst of all are the numerous places in the christian greek scriptures where 'jehovah' has been inserted where the tetragrammaton or any equivalent of it does not occur in any extant mss and where the context could just as easily mean, or even more likely mean, the identity being spoken of is jesus christ rather than the father.
although in many places out of the 237 in the nt where they have done this the identity is clearly or most probably the father (jehovah) as distinct from the son (jesus), there are dozens of occurrences where this is not the case.. here are a whole lot more scriptures abused by the translators of the nwt, copied from the freeminds website (article written j bowman, scholar):.

I'm not surprised at all by that. It's pretty hilarious that we have to use the dumbed down version for everything. Are they preparing a Reference Bible version of this? I ask because I was always 'taught' to use the reference bible for everything as much as possible. This obviously would be a bad idea now since it's all different now.
